It’s not every day your first born turns two! I decided not to go overboard, so I only spent 70 bucks at the party store on Mickey swag. In other words, I still went a little overboard. Owen love, love, loves Mickey, so he was pretty excited about his party decor.
The cake. I was hoping I could find a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse plastic decorating set at the party store. No luck. I couldn’t have one made at a bakery because of Owen’s peanut allergy (scary, different blogpost altogether). So, Nick and I brainstormed and used a rammekin and circle pan to make Mickey’s head. Oh, and since I’m a terrible cake decorator we did an abstract Mickey. FYI it took two tubes of red food coloring to make that color. I bought the black from Michael’s, and while tasty, it did make everyone have black teeth.
He was a little bewildered by the Happy Birthday singing.
Playing with his presents.
